Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’

Welcome to Egypt. You will be met and assisted on arrival at Cairo International Airport by our Memphis Tours Representative, then transferred by air conditioned vehicle to your Hotel for check in and a welcome drink. He will explain what to expect on your visit. Your Tour Leader will be your point of contact throughout the whole trip, and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday, in addition to the Tour Leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day / evening at your leisure. *There is an optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.
Welcome Drink

Day 2: Pyramids Tour

After breakfast you will be escorted by your Tour Guide for a tour of the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle pyramids of Khephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and the mysterious Sphinx, The plateau is as famous for the mysterious structure 'the Sphinx' as it is for the pyramids, where you will visit the Valley Temple. Your visit to Giza will include enough time to do the optional visit to the Solar Boat Museum, which was the vessel used to carry the Pharaoh’s mummy across the Nile, before being buried at the foot of the pyramid for use in his afterlife. After Giza, you will be transferred to Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara, which is the first pyramid built in Egypt and was designed by Imhotep. It is at Saqqara where the first spells for the Pharaoh's afterlife were found. Whilst there, you will also see Teti's pyramid and several ancient tombs. After Saqqara you will travel to Memphis, the ancient Capital of Egypt, to visit the colossal statue of Ramesses II and a Temple dedicated to Hathor which is still half-buried. After that you will be transferred back to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing - Fly to Aswan

Check-out after breakfast and then you will be accompanied by your private egyptologist Tour Guide to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess, with option visit to the Mummification Room at the Egyptian Museum to learn about the Great Egyptian civilization and art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Then you will also visit the Citadel of Saladin that is overlooking the city from the Muqattam Hills and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside that was built in Turkish style and very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey and simply considered to be one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of old Cairo then visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the suspended church, a basilica church named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon. The church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. Finally a shopping tour at Khan El-Khalili Bazaar then from there you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan - Optional Abu Simbel Tour

Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel in Aswan and free time at your Hotel in Aswan with an optional excursion to Abu Simbel Temples (Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions) to see the magnificence of these two Temples, the main Temple of Ramses 11 and the Temple dedicated to his wife Nefertari.They are undisputedly one of the world's most breathtaking monuments, and Egypt’s second most visited tourist site (the Pyramids of Giza being on the top of the list) the most remarkable feature of the temple of Abu-Simbel is that the construction is oriented in a way that twice a year, the morning sun rays shine through the length of the inner temple cave and illuminate the statues of the Gods seated at the end of the cave illuminate the sculptures on the back wall, except for the statue of Ptah, the god connected with the Underworld, who always remained in the dark.Then you will be transferred back to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay in Aswan.
Note* Other optional tours are available in Aswan to the Nubian Museum and Villages, Kitchener’s Island and Old Souk of Aswan City.

Day 5: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Breakfast at the Hotel in Aswan then you will be transferred to embark your Nile Cruise boat. Once settled in, you will be taken in an exciting tour to the world famous Aswan High Dam that was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops; Then you will be taken by motorboat to the Island of Egilka visit the majestic Philae Temple, originally of Nubian culture. that was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Continue to the granite quarries which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and Temples. The quarries still hold the famous Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the Nile Cruise ship in Aswan free time at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 6: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Sail to Kom Ombo. After breakfast will be accompanied by your English speaking Guide to visit Kom Ombo Temple, home of the Crocodile-headed God of fertility Sobek, creator of the world, and Horus. Lunch and afternoon tea onboard your cruise with free time at leisure whilst sailing to Edfu to explore Edfu's Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved Ancient Egyptian temples on the Nile. Continue the cruise down the Nile to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay onboard cruise in Edfu.

Day 7: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

Breakfast on board the cruise during sailing to Luxor, and then you will be taken over to the West bank of the River Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs of the Ancients were discovered (including the boy King Tutankhamun).These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. and then visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon).

Day 8: Luxor Nile Cruise - Fly to Sharm El Sheikh

After breakfast on the boat, you will disembark the Cruise and be taken with your Guide to visit Continue your Luxor sightseeing tour to visit Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then you will be transferred to the majestic Luxor temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun.
Then some free time for shopping in Luxor and then transferred to Luxor Airport to fly to Sharm El Shiek with direct transfer to your hotel for free time at leisure with overnight stay.

Day 9: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Tours, Red Sea

Breakfast at your Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh with free day at leisure around the Hotel, sandy beaches, and fantastic optional excursions to enjoy a Bedouin tea and camel ride in Sinai desert with peaceful overnight stay at your hotel in Sharm el sheikh.

Day 10: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

Relaxing breakfast at your Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh then our Representative will collect you to take a wonderful excursion to Ras Mohamed National Park for a snorkeling trip by cruise. A fantastic day out to the red sea underwater Marine life with lunch and drinks included on board. Overnight stay at your Hotel Sharm El Sheikh.

Day 11: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

Leisurely breakfast at your Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh resort with free time at leisure on the beach or choose from our optional excursions available to visit the St. Catherine Monastery and Moses Mountain in Sinai with fantastic city tour of Dahab on your way back to Sharm El Sheikh. Free time at leisure in Sharm El Sheikh with overnight at your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.

Day 12: Transfer to Jordan (Via Taba Borders)

Box-breakfast from your Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. At 02:30 AM you will be met and assisted by our Representative, who will transfer you by private air-conditioned minibus to the Border at Taba to take a taxi ride to cross the Israeli Border and to pay the departure taxes locally. Upon arrival Aqaba in Jordan you will be met by another Representative who will assist you through immigration and then you will depart Aqaba for Petra. The route will allow you to explore Wadi Rum. Here you will enjoy an exciting Jeep ride in a 4x4 vehicle visiting the Wadi Um Eshreen, the Moving Sand, Al Khazali, Abu Aineh and Rum Mountain following the trail of the famous Lawrence of Arabia along with the Red Mountains. Afterwards we proceed north to the spectacular lost city of Petra . Rest and relax overnight in Petra.
Please Note* There is a fee to cross from Egypt through the Israeli Border into Jordan (approximately $32 - 20 British Pounds) and a taxi fee from the Israeli Border to Jordan (approximately $25 - 16 British Pounds) Once through the crossing, you will be met and assisted at Jordan by a Representative for a transfer to Petra.

Day 13: Petra Tours, Jordan

Today is the big one. A day tour to the most recognised and popular Red Rose Rock City Petra, Jordan’s biggest attraction. Established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, they were a Nomadic tribe who settled in the area, founding a commercial empire. An option of a on horse ride or on foot to the Siq, Canyon, and then by foot until you reach the most inspiring monument known as the Treasury. Other sites within are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. In the afternoon drive to Amman Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 14: Madaba - The Dead Sea, Jordan

Madaba is the next tour on your incredible discovery where you will visit an ancient Greek Orthodox Church known as Saint George and view the most amazing Byzantine floor mosaic dating back to the 4th century and is a map of all major biblical sites from Lebanon to Egypt (unearthed in 1864).Two more stops on your final tour will take you next to Mount Nebo, the spot where the biblical Prophet Moses was said to have gazed across to the Promised land, and also it was suggested his burial site. Finally, an old Monastery overlooking the Jordan Valley, part of the Holy Land then a drive to what’s known as the lowest point on earth, Dead Sea. Here you will enjoy the health and therapeutic benefits of its mineral mud and float on its salty waters which is 10 times saltier than ocean water. Transfer to Amman Hotel and overnight.

Day 15: Amman - Fly Back Home
