Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Your Memphis Tours Representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and then escort you to the 5 star Four Seasons First Residence Hotel in Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle. At the Hotel the Representative will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids and Cairo Tours

After breakfast, you will be accompanied by your private expert Tour Guide will accompany you to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s Greatest attractions to visit The Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle Pyramids of Chephren and the smallest Mykerinos. A camel ride and family photo in front of Pyramids, then on to visit the mysterious Sphinx, known as the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs. The tour includes visit to the Valley Temple, facing the great sphinx with lunch at a local quality restaurant.Then on to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect t Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the boy King Tutankhamun, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess’s with an option visit to the Mummification Room in the Museum where you can learn about the great art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Then visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the suspended church this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. Finally you will spend some interesting souvenir shopping time ao Old Khan Khalili Bazaar before heading back to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Fly Cairo to Luxor - Sofitel Winter Palace

Early start with breakfast before checking out of your Hotel in Cairo to be transferred to Cairo Airport Domestic Terminal for your flight to Luxor to start your Dahabiya Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor.On arrival in Luxor, you will be met by your Luxor English speaking Tour Guide for a fascinating tour of the East bank Temples. Starting with the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The Temple, or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars .Then you will be transferred to Luxor Temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals and dedicated to the god Amon. After your tour, you will transfer to the famous Sofitel Winter Palace Hotel directly faces the lovely West Bank of the Nile. Its opulent grand design stands out amongst all other Hotels in Luxor, with its colonial frontage and interiors with 92 rooms including suites. Famous figures of the past have stayed here with Howard Carter, Agatha Christie (where she wrote her famous novel ‘ Death on the Nile’), Egyptian Royal families, world Politicians, artists and celebrities. Day 4: Luxor Sightseeing - Dahabeya Nile Cruise

After breakfast at the Hotel, you will check out then be met by your Tour Guide with an air conditioned vehicle for the tour of the world renowned West Bank of Luxor visiting the two colossal statues known as the Colossi of Memnon, the old gateway to Ancient Thebes. Then on to explore the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs discovered with over 60 Pharaohs tombs unearthed carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs. Here you will visit 3 tombs.( the 3 tombs visited are determined by the Government as to reduce impact on the area due to large numbers of tourists). Continue the tour to visit the the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive Temple and frontage is dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.After your tour, you will be driven to Esna which is approximately 1 hour from Luxor, to embark on your Orient Dahabeya Nile Cruise. On arrival you will be greeted and welcomed by smiling Crew who will give you an excellent service throughout your sailing. Afternoon visit to El Kab, the ancient town of Nekheb, to visit the remains of its Temples and some of the Tombs cut into the cliffs. Day 5: Dahabeya Nile Cruise Tours

Sail for Edfu for a visit to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved of all the Temples in Egypt known as Edfu Temple. Set sail for a small island where the boat will moor for the night, later stops will take you to small villages and the desert. Dinner will be served on board the Dahabiya or on the tranquil banks of the Nile. Night on board.

Day 6: Dahabiya Nile Cruise Tours

Sail to Gebel el Silsila and explore the ancient sandstone quarries and rock-cut chapels of Horemheb, Seti I, Ramesses II and Merenptah. The journey up the Nile continues towards the double Temple of Haroeris and Sobek in Kom Ombo. Set sail for the island of Maniha, where the Dahabiya will moor for the night. Dinner will be served on board the Dahabiya or on the tranquil banks of the Nile.Night on board.

Day 7: Dahabiya Nile Cruise Tours

Sail to Daraw to take a walking tour in the village to visit the markets of Daraw, once the last stop on the famous 40-day desert road between Sudan and Egypt. Sailing continues to the Nubian village of El Koubania, near Aswan.Last night on board.

Day 8: Dahabiya Nile Cruise - Old Cataract Aswan

End of the Dahabiya journey in Aswan after breakfast on board. Then you will be transferred to the famous Colonial Sofitel Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. Day 9: Abu Simbel Optional Tour - Fly to Cairo

Breakfast at the Old Cataract Hotel, or take the option of the Highly recommended tour to The Temples of Abu Simbel at Lake Nasser. These Temples are the second most visited tourist attraction after the Pyramids. Known as the ‘Great Builder’, Pharaoh Ramses II was an architect of brilliance and created the finest Temples in Egypt. You will be granted the opportunity to visit his magnificent Temple along with that of his beloved wife Nefertari’s Temple. Later after checkout,you will transfer to Aswan Airport with your Guide or Representative to fly directly to Cairo for an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. Optional tours in the evening are available such as the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids, Tanoura Show or Nile Dinner Cruise. overnight in Cairo.

Day 10: Cairo - Fly Back Home
