4 Days - Aswan / Luxor Every Friday

Day 1: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

On arrival at Aswan Airport or train Station, our Memphis Tours Representative will meet and assist you, then transfer you by a private A/C vehicle to your Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise for embarkation in Aswan. Lunch will be served on board the Nile Cruise, then you will be accompanied by your knowledgeable Egyptologist Tour Guide to take a short motorboat ride for a tour to explore the "Unfinished Obelisk" which still lies in the granite quarries which provided ancient Egypt with building materials. It would have been the largest piece of stone ever handled but when a crack was discovered it was abandoned where it was being hewn. Return to your Nile cruise boat for dinner and some leisurely free time in Aswan to explore the City and aromatic spice and incense Market. Enjoyable overnight stay aboard the Nile cruise with entertainment. Overnight in Aswan on the Sanctuary Sun Boat III.

Day 2: Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Breakfast on board your Nile Cruise before enjoying a short motorboat ride to Angilika Island, to see the famous Philae Temple, one of the Nubian temples rescued after the floods. Lunch on board the Nile cruise whilst Sailing to Kom Ombo to visit  Kom Ombo Temple, the only one divided into two reflecting it’s dedication to two Gods Sobek, the Crocodile God of fertility; and the falcon-headed Horus, God of the sky.Then sailing on to Edfu to explore Horus Temple, said to be the most complete and best preserved of the Egyptian Temples, consisting of many columns, halls, chambers and chapels. Afternoon tea and dinner on board. Overnight in Edfu on the luxury Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise.

Day 3: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

Breakfast on board your Nile Cruise, then you will enjoy your last tour of the famous West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi Memnon. The West Bank of the Nile is home to 62 tombs of the Pharaohs, overall one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon) and the Valley of the Kings to see a selection of the beautifully decorated rock-cut tombs, many of which still display vibrant colour and breathtaking detail of deities and scenes from the Book of the Underworld. The most visited tombs have walkways and electric lighting, and the internal walls are protected by glass. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit).
The next stop will be the Temple of the only female Pharaoh in Egypt, that of the colonnaded and terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri, which was built into a high cliff face and has graphics telling the story of Hatshepsut’s expeditions to the mysterious land of Punt. Then an afternoon visit to tour the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Start at Karnak Temple, the world's largest ancient religious site. The hypostyle hall with its colossal granite columns is one of Egypt’s infamous landmarks. There will be free time to explore the different parts of the huge complex built during the reigns of various Pharaohs, then moving to Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals that was dedicated to the god Amon. The two Temples were once linked in ancient times by the Avenue of Sphinx, currently near completion after being reconstructed.
There is an evening  optional evening Sound and Light show which tells the story of Luxor and Karnak, before joining your Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise for dinner on board with an evening entertainment programme. Overnight in Luxor.

5 Days - Luxor / Aswan Every Monday

Day 1: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

A Memphis Tours Representative will meet you at Luxor Airport / Train Station to start the day at the Temple of Karnak built over more than a thousand years, by generations of Pharaohs. Transfer to your 5-star luxury Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise where you will be welcomed by the reception staff. Lunch will be served on board followed by a visit to the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings. You will also have the chance to visit at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. On the way back to the river Nile, you will pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon. In the evening you will be greeted by your Boat Manager for a Cocktail Reception along with complimentary cocktails and selection of canapés followed by a gourmet dinner. Overnight on board Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise in Luxor.

Day 2: Nile Cruise Tour to Denderah Temple and Luxor

Breakfast on board your Nile Cruise whilst cruising towards to Qena. On arrival you will explore the Ptolemaic Temple of Goddess Hathor in Denderah which consists of a massive stone roof, dark chambers, underground passages and towering columns inscribed with hieroglyphs. Hathor was considered the Goddess of pleasure and love. Return on board for Lunch while sailing on the Nile back to Luxor.
Afternoon tea will be served then on arrival in Luxor, an afternoon discovery with your  Egyptologist Guide of the East Bank of Luxor to the important Temple of Luxor dedicated to the God Amun. Dinner in the evening onboard with live entertainment in the form of a belly dancer, and whirling dervisher. Overnight on board your Sanctuary Sun Boat III.

Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

Breakfast on board whilst  cruising to Edfu then a  morning visit to explore the vast Temple of Horus. Lunch and afternoon tea on board then continuing on to Kom Ombo.
You will be treated to a delightful Egyptian cookery lesson presented on board by the expert Chefs In the afternoon before visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek.
Evening dinner on board followed by your fun filled ‘Egyptian Night’ a costume party to dress in the traditional Egyptian ‘galabeyya’. A fine  buffet of Egyptian specialities at dinner with the party of oriental music and dancing. Overnight on board the Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise.

Day 4: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Breakfast on board whilst sailing to Aswan then on arrival, a lovely ride on the Cataract Islands to visit beautiful Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. Then on to explore the Unfinished Obelisk at the Granite Quarries which still holds the unfinished obelisk.
Lunch on board the Sanctuary Sun Boat III Nile Cruise. In the afternoon, a traditional sail on a felucca, an Egyptian sailing boat, around Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener's Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.
Afternoon tea on board before your farewell Gala dinner will be a gala dinner gourmet cuisine. Overnight in Aswan on the Sanctuary Sun Boat III.
