Day 1: Arrival Cairo - Welcome to Egypt

You will be met and assisted on arrival at Cairo International Airport by a Memphis Tours Representative who will sort out your entry Visa to Egypt and luggage, then escort you to the 5 star Four Seasons First Residence Hotel in Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle. Spend the afternoon and evening relaxing at the Hotel. If you wish, there is an optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids. Overnight at the Hotel.
Welcome Drink

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Sakkara

Breakfast at your Hotel before meeting your Guide to head out for your exciting day in Cairo beginning with a tour of the Giza Pyramids from your Hotel. Your Guide will show you around the huge structures of the Pyramids along with a tour of the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx, which guards the Giza Plateau. A visit to the Solar Boat Museum is included to view the preserved remains of a ceremonial boat buried with one of the Pharaohs and near to the Great Pyramid of Cheops. After leaving Giza you drive south toward Sakkara, which is about 20 kilometers outside of Cairo. There you will have a relaxing lunch then enter the Sakkara Pyramid field to see the Djoser’s Step Pyramids, which are older than the Pyramids at Giza, and the funerary Temple complex. Your Guide will then take you back to your Hotel to enjoy a restful evening.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing Tour

Your second day of touring will start after enjoying breakfast at your Hotel. Your Guide will then accompany you to Downtown Cairo, where you will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Inside you will see thousands of antiquities from Ancient Egypt, including the famous contents of Tutankhamun’s Tomb. You will also enter the Mummification Room to view preserved remains of several of Egypt’s most famous Pharaohs. After The museum you will enjoy lunch at a high quality local restaurant. After lunch you will be driven to the Cairo’s Citadel to take in the stunning views over Cairo and tour Mohammed Ali Mosque, the largest which can be seen for many miles across the City, built by rulers of Egypt between the 13th and 19th centuries. The day will end in Old Islamic Cairo and have the opportunity to go shopping and explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s 13th century Bazaar. In the evening,returning to your Hotel.

Day 4: Fly Cairo to Luxor - Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise

Rising early in the morning, your tour manager will transport you to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, transfer to embark on the Luxury boat, the Oberoi, Zahra. Lunch will be served after checking in to your splendid luxury cabin then approximately 14.00pm your Tour Guide will transport you on a fascinating tour of Karnak Temple and Luxor Museum. The Temple of Karnak is a huge complex, the world's largest ancient religious site. The hypostyle hall with its colossal granite columns is one of Egypt’s infamous landmarks. There will be free time to explore the different parts of the huge complex built during the reign of various Pharaohs. This will be followed by a visit to Luxor Museum, a wonderful discovery of original Pharaonic relics including an original chariot used in battle by a Pharaoh. Return to the Cruise boat for dinner and overnight stay. If you wish to explore the traditional City of Luxor, you have time in the evening either independently or an optional tour with a Guide. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Luxor and Dendera

Early breakfast on the Cruise boat then transferred with your Guide to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the famous Valley of the Kings, with its royal Tombs, King Tut's Tomb and Ramses ‘the Six’. This is followed by a visit to The temple of Madinat Habu and on the way back, stopping at the huge granite statues of the Colossi of Memnon. At approximately 11.0am, you will return to the boat for sailing to Qena to visit the Complex of the main Temple known as Hathor Temple. The Temple has been modified on the same site starting as far back as the Middle Kingdom, and continued until the time of the Roman emperor Trajan. The Temple is one of the best preserved temples in all Egypt. Lunch on board around 13.00 pm then time to enjoy the spa and relax before your final tour of the day approximately 15.30pm to the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to Hathor, Goddess of Music, Love and Joy. Back to your cruise, overnight in Qena.

Day 6: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Luxor Sightseeing

Early sail to Luxor with breakfast on board between 07.00- 10.00 Am. At approximately 10.30 Am, a further visit to the West Bank (Valley of the Noble’s tombs, Dier El Madina), the site of a very special workman’s village, whose craftsmen built and decorated the tombs of the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Lastly, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the only female Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. Lunch on your return to the cruise boat with spa time to relax until a visit to Luxor Temple on the East Bank around 16.30pm. Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals, dedicated to the God Amon. Back on board for dinner and a lovely Cocktail Reception with live music at the club lounge. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 7: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Sail to Edfu

Breakfast on board whilst sailing to Edfu through the famous Lock at Esna where you will enjoy watching the local boat traders selling their goods to the tourists on the boats queueing at the Lock. A full day of spa time or pool and sundeck relaxation whilst watching life on the Nile unchanged for centuries. Lunch and afternoon tea served during the day. At approximately 17.30pm, your Guide will escort you to see the wonderful Temple at Edfu, know for the falcon headed God Horus, considered the best preserved Temple of the Ancient world. Dinner on return around 19.30pm and overnight docking in Edfu.

Day 8: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Aswan Tours

Early sail to Aswan whilst enjoying breakfast and views on board. You will sail under the large impressive structure of Aswan bridge which is the gateway into Aswan City. All day until early afternoon to enjoy the spa and relaxation time before disembarking with your Tour Guide to visit the famous Aswan High Dam around 14.30pm. This will be followed by an exploration of Philae Temple, a Nubian Temple rescued before the floods. More spa time to relax on return to the boat with dinner and free time to explore Aswan in the evening either individually or an an optional tour with a Guide. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 9: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Sail to Kom Ombo

Breakfast on board from 07.00 Am whilst sailing to Kom Ombo for a guided tour of the Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World. The other side is dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder. After the tour, sailing back to Aswan with lunch. Free spa and relaxation time until 15.00pm then a visit sailing on a traditional Felucca sailing boat to the Botanical Gardens, known as Kitchener’s Island, named after Lord Kitchener as a reward for his services in the Sudan Campaign of 1896-1898. Return to the cruise and enjoy more free time before taking in the lovely Sound and Light show at Philae Temple. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day 10: Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise - Aswan Optional Tours

A day of relaxation with many local optional tours on offer of interest if your sense of adventure is still thirsty. A camel ride up to St. Simeone’s Monastery, a lovely experience in a Nubian Village to meet the very friendly and colourful Nubians, Papyrus and Perfume factories for those last minute gifts. Or just spend the day resting on the Boat taking in the views of Aswan City and the great Tombs of the Nobles in the sandstone cliffs of the West Bank. Overnight on the boat in Aswan.

Day 11: Aswan - Cairo Airport - Fly Back Home

After breakfast on the Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise, you will disembark and be transferred to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo international Airport for your return flight home.
