Day 1: Arrival Luxor - Nile Cruise Embarkation

Welcome to Egypt. You will be met and assisted at Luxor International Airport by a memphis Tours Representative who will transfer you to your Nile cruise by a private air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival at the Cruise, your Representative will assist you with a smooth check in. overnight in Luxor with meals included.
Meals: Welcome Drink, Dinner

Day 2: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

Very early breakfast on board in order to be escorted by your expert English speaking Tour Guide to visit West Bank of Luxor to the Valley of the Kings & Queens and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari). Starting with The Valley of the Kings (the original resting place of the world famous boy King Tutankhamun), and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (the only Female Pharaoh) at El Deir EL Bahari and the two towering statues of the Colossi of Memnon. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit).
Please Note: There is an additional Charge to enter the Tombs of King Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. After the tours you will return to your Nile Cruise lunch and sailing to Esna through the Lock with afternoon tea on board and evening cocktail reception and dinner. Overnight in Esna

Day 3: Edfu Temple - Sail to Kom Ombo

Early breakfast on board before a visit around 8am with your Guide to Edfu Temple. A Kalesh ride ( horse and carriage) will take you for an exploration of the huge Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu, which is the most complete and best preserved of the Egyptian Temples, consisting of many columns, halls, chambers and chapels. Two statues of Horus flank the twin towered entrance gate and inside, one of the interesting inscriptions lists the titles of books (scrolls) held in the library. Sailing to Kom Ombo with Lunch and afternoon tea on board. Dinner and ‘Galabeya Party’ in the evening. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Early breakfast on board then an 8:00am visit the with your Tour Guide to the Aswan High Dam which was built in the 1960’s to provide the much needed electricity and irrigation for the country. Nubia, the area that was flooded, experienced the biggest and most thorough archaeological excavations that Egypt has ever known. Then we go to see the ‘Unfinished Obelisk’ which still lay in the granite quarries which provided ancient Egypt with building materials. It would have been the largest piece of stone ever handled but when a crack was discovered it was abandoned where it was being hewn. Cross by boat to Angilika Island, to see the Temple of Isis at Philae which is one of the Nubian Temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt.
Lunch back on board then in the afternoon, a delightful Felucca sail across the Nile and Cataract Islands to visit Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens. In the year of 1899 lord Kitchener took the Island as a place where his campaign could rest, and called it the ‘Lord's House’. After his death, this island belonged to the ministry of agriculture. Evening dinner on board followed by the Colourful Nubian Show. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 5: Aswan to Abu Simbel Optional Tour

Breakfast on board with the full day to either relax, have a spa and massage on board, or take one of the many optional tours in Aswan discovering the Nubian culture with Nubian Villages, Nubian Museum, or a walking tour of the colourful spice and incense market. Lunch and evening dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan. There is the option of taking a very early AM tour (including breakfast box) to the grand Temples of Abu Simbel at Lake Nasser.

Day 6: Nile Cruise Tour to Kom Ombo Temple

Early breakfast on board whilst sailing to Kom Ombo for a visit around 12.30pm at Kom Ombo Temple which is shared by two Gods Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo ( the only Temple shared by two Gods in Egypt). Lunch and afternoon tea on board whilst sailing on to Edfu with afternoon tea and dinner in the evening with a ‘Galabeya Party’. Overnight in Esna.

Day 7: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

Breakfast on board with the morning to relax then lunch on board before being escorted with your Tour Guide around 5.00pm to the East Bank of Luxor for the fascinating exploration of Karnak and Luxor Temples. Karnak Temple a fascinating Temple and the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars. (Lunch included in a quality restaurant). Next on to nearby Luxor Temple (the two Temples were once linked by the ‘Avenue of Sphinx’ which is currently being reconstructed).
Then continue the tour to visit the majestic Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the God Amun. After the tour, you will taken to your Hotel for an overnight stay in Luxor. Dinner on board in the evening with a Belly dance show. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor Nile Cruise - Final Departure

Early breakfast on board then check out, to be transferred back to Luxor Airport for your flight back home via Cairo International Airport.
