Day 01: Arrive Cairo - Four Seasons First Residence

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Your Memphis Tours Representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and then escort you to the 5 star Four Seasons First Residence Hotel in Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle. At the Hotel the Representative will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02: Pyramids and Museum Tour

After breakfast and then your private expert Tour Guide will accompany you to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s Greatest attractions to visit The Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle Pyramids of Chephren and the smallest Mykerinos. A camel ride and family photo in front of Pyramids, then on to visit the mysterious Sphinx, known as the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs. The tour includes visit to the Valley Temple, facing the great sphinx with lunch at a local quality restaurant.Then on to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect t Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the boy King Tutankhamun, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess’s with an option visit to the Mummification Room in the Museum where you can learn about the great art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Back to your Hotel in Cairo for free leisure time and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Cairo Sightseeing Tours

Today after breakfast, your day of touring will begin with the Old Citadel of Saladin, named after the Kurdish Muslim who became the first Sultan of Egypt and Syria and who was noted for his chivalry. The Citadel is overlooked by the Muqattam Hills and the views from the high Citadel walls are outstanding with views all across Old Cairo and even as far as the Pyramids.Inside is the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was built in Turkish style and, very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey, its minarets can be seen from any part of old Cairo. Lunch will be served at a local quality restaurant before your tour of the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church, named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon and became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. Finally you will spend some interesting souvenir shopping time at Old Khan Khalili Bazaar before heading back to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Fly Cairo to Aswan - Old Cataract Hotel

After Breakfast at your Hotel, you will check out to be transferred to Cairo Airport Domestic Terminal for your short 1 hour flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will met by your Aswan Tour Guide for a tour of the important sites in Aswan. Experience the magnificent excursions to visit Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and Aswan High Dam (the latter dating back to 1960). First stop of the day will be a visit the Philae Temple which was dedicated to the Goddess Isis, this Temple was dismantled and reconstructed on Agilika Island after Aswan Dam was constructed. Continue your tour to visit the Unfinished Obelisk which belonged to Queen Hatshepsut. This Obelisk weighs about 1200 tons and is approximately 42m in height. Finally ending with a visit to the Aswan High Dam which was constructed in 1960 and completed in 1970. Its main function is to protect Egypt from the annual floods as well as providing storage of water for agriculture.Lunch will be included in a local quality restaurant then you will be take to check in to the famous Colonial Sofitel Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan..A totally British and extremely famous Luxury 5 star masterpiece built by Thomas Cook in 1899, making it the 2nd oldest Colonial Hotel in Egypt.The Old Cataract Hotel is one of memphis tour’s Partner Hotels and a proud association for us. One of our top recommended Hotels and the best in Aswan, Situated right on the Cataract Islands of the East bank of the Nile, it could not be in a more favoured spot for sightseeing and local attractions and amenities. Occupied and visited by a host of famous figures such as Tsar Nicholas II, Winston Churchill, Howard Carter, Margaret Thatcher, Jimmy Carter, Princess Diana, Queen Noor and Agatha Christie (who at this Hotel and Luxor’s Winter Palace Hotel wrote her novel ‘Death on the Nile’). Day 05: Dahabeya Nile Cruise Tours

Breakfast at the Old Cataract Hotel with a free morning to either relax at the Hotel, or explore the City of Aswan with its colourful Nubian culture. Check out at midday from the Hotel to then embark on your luxury Orient Dahabeya Nile cruise On arrival you will be greeted and welcomed by smiling Crew who will give you an excellent service throughout your sailing. for your 3 day cruise along the Nile between Aswan and Esna. The first day’s sailing takes you to a small Nile island for a walk in the countryside. After lunch on board or on the island, continue sailing towards Kom Ombo to visit the double temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Then cruise towards Gebel el-Silsila. Overnight on board

Day 06: Dahabiya Nile Cruise Tours

After breakfast, a visit to the rock-cut chapels of Horemheb, Seti I, Ramses II and Merenptah and explore the sandstone quarries at Gebel el-Silsila. The sail continues to Edfu for a tour of the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved of all the Temples in Egypt known as Edfu Temple.Travel on to a small island where the boat will moor for the night. Dinner will be served on board the Dahabiya or round a campfire on the tranquil banks of the Nile. Overnight on board.

Day 07: Dahabiya Nile Cruise Tours

Cruise to El Kab, the ancient town of Nekheb, one of the oldest and most significant archaeological sites on the Nile. Visit the remains of its Temples and some of the Tombs cut into the cliffs. Return to the boat and set sail for Esna. Last night on board.

Day 08: Luxor Sightseeing - Sofitel Winter Palace

End of the Dahabiya journey in Esna. After breakfast on board you will be transferred to Luxor by road (approximately 1 hour) in an air conditioned vehicle. On arrival in Luxor, you will be met by your local Luxor Tour Guide for a fascinating tour of the West Bank of Luxor to visit two colossal statues known as the Colossi of Memnon, the old gateway to Ancient Thebes. Then on to explore the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs discovered with over 60 Pharaohs tombs unearthed carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs. Here you will visit 3 tombs.( the 3 tombs visited are determined by the Government as to reduce impact on the area due to large numbers of tourists). Continue the tour to visit the the Temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive Temple and frontage is dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.After your tour, you will be transferred to check in to famous Sofitel Winter Palace Hotel directly faces the lovely West Bank of the Nile. Its opulent grand design stands out amongst all other Hotels in Luxor, with its colonial frontage and interiors with 92 rooms including suites. Famous figures of the past have stayed here with Howard Carter, Agatha Christie (where she wrote her famous novel ‘Death on the Nile’), Egyptian Royal families, world Politicians, artists and celebrities. Overnight stay at the Hotel Free time in the evening to explore Luxor City and Market with optional City Tour or the Karnak Sound and Light Show.

Day 09: Luxor Sightseeing Tours - Fly to Cairo

After breakfast at the Winter Palace Hotel,you will check out then be accompanied by your Tour Guide to visit the East Bank Temples in Luxor.Starting with the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘the most sacred of places’The Temple, or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars .Then you will be transferred to Luxor Temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals and dedicated to the god Amon.After your tour, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo. On arrival, you will be met and assisted to transfer to the Hotel Four Seasons in Cairo for a final overnight stay. Free time to see other sights in Cairo and optional tours of the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids, Nile Dinner Cruise or the Tanoura Show.

Day 10: Cairo - Fly Back Home
