Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’

You will be met by a Memphis Tours Representative on arrival at Cairo Airport, then transferred to your Hotel in Cairo with a welcome drink on checking in. There you will be introduced to your Tour Guide who will accompany you through your Cairo tours and explain the full itinerary.
Relaxing overnight stay in Cairo with free leisure time and an optional tour of the magnificent ‘Sound and Light Show’ at the Pyramids of Giza, a wonderful introduction to your first glimpse of the famous Pyramids, all lit up in this historic story of the Pharaohs.

Day 2: Pyramids and Museum Tour

After a relaxing breakfast at your Hotel in Cairo our private Cairo Tour Guide and driver will accompany you to visit the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle pyramids of Khephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and the mysterious Sphinx, (the Father of Terror for the ancient Pharaohs). The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx. Following this you will be transferred to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques which exhibits a collection that now exceeds over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt. Afterwards you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo for an enjoyable overnight stay.
Please note: There is an additional charge for entering inside the Pyramids and also the Solar Boat Museum. Please speak with your tour guide should you wish to purchase a ticket to enter one of these sites. Also an additional charge for the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing Tours

After breakfast at your Hotel, your Tour Guide will collect you and escort you to the Old Citadel of Saladin and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed and built in Turkish style and very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. This magnificent structure is built at a very high point overlooking Old Cairo with spectacular views across the City as far as the Pyramids. It also hosts some very interesting Museums such as the Police, Military, Old Islamic Cairo, and old and modern history of Egypt. then continues on to visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the Suspended Church, this Basilica Church being named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon. The church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. Finally you will visit also the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaars and Open Market in Cairo and from there you will be driven back to your hotel for some free time and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly Cairo to Luxor Sightseeing

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your short flight to Luxor. On arrival in Luxor, you will be met by your Tour Guide to start your fascinating tour of Luxor starting on the East Bank of the Nile with Karnak Temple, the world's largest ancient religious site. The hypostyle hall with its colossal granite columns is one of Egypt’s infamous landmarks. There will be free time to explore the different parts of the huge complex built during the reigns of various Pharaohs, then moving to Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals that was dedicated to the God Amon. After lunch in a quality restaurant, you will be taken across to the West bank of the Nile to explore the most famous sights and colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), and then visit the Valley of the Kings, where many magnificent tombs were discovered (including the Boy King Tutankhamen), These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs and here you will visit 3 tombs. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). Continue your tour to visit Hatshepsut’s Temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive Temple is dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. After your day tour, you will be taken to check in to your Hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay with free leisure time.

Day 5: Fly Luxor to Dahab (Via Sharm El Sheik Airport)

Breakfast in Luxor then transfer back to Luxor Airport for your short flight to Sharm El Sheik. On arrival, you will be transferred by air conditioned vehicle with your Guide to Dahab (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes) with the opportunity to see all of the lovely views of the Sinai Peninsular enroute. On arrival, check in to your Hotel in Dahab with free leisure time. Overnight stay at Dahab.

Day 6: Dahab Red Sea Optional Excursions

Today is a day for you to relax or consider one of the many optional tours either locally or further afield. There are a variety of watersports available including windsurfing, along with many diving activities as the Gulf of Aqaba has some spectacular corals and diving spots. Overnight at your Hotel in Dahab.

Day 7: Dahab Red Sea Optional Excursions

A further day of relaxation by the sea or pool or adventure out to see the local attractions and optional tours. Overnight stay at your Hotel.

Day 8: Dahab - Moses Mount & St. Catherine’s

Check out early hours of the morning from your Hotel for the drive to Moses Mount (Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes). On arrival, Early start from your Hotel in Taba to enjoy a wonderful day trip to Moses Mount and St.Catherine Monastery. Your climb up Moses Mount takes around 3 hours to climb the 7,498-foot peak following the Path of Moses, a stairway of nearly 700 steps which has to be done by foot reaching the Chapel of the Holy Trinity on the peak of Moses Mount, It is the spot where Moses had received the Ten Commandments and for you to view the stunning scenery of the sunrise over the Mountains of Sinai. You will climb early in order to see the stunning and spectacular sunrise across the Mountains.After descent, visit the Monastery of St.Catherine. Within its imposing walls rests a Citadel like no other, incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures. Among its treasures is a library of ancient manuscripts and icons second only to the Vatican itself, and a 6th Century Church reputed to lie directly on the site of the Burning Bush. Quite simply, the Monastery is a defining feature of the Holy Land. Later on you will be transferred with your Guide to the wonderful Bedouin Settlement and Camp with lovely chalets and amazing views of the surrounding Sinai mountains.

Day 9: St Catherine - Bedouin Encampment

Breakfast at your campsite whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the sunrise at the desert. A full day and evening to relax or explore the lovely encampment with optional activities both daytime and evenings on and off the site.

Day 10: Sinai Camp - Optional Bedouin Tours

Today is a day where you can choose to either relax at the encampment, chat with the Bedouins ( who speak English), learn about their culture and ancient traditions and explore the camp with it’s many interesting things to do. Or choose to do an optional tour available with a Guide out of the campsite to either the Mountains on mountain trekking, Desert Safari and more. Overnight stay.

Day 11: Coloured Canyon Tour- Transfer to Taba

Leaving your friendly Bedouin encampment after breakfast, you will be driven to Nuweibaa in an air conditioned vehicle with your guide ( approximately 2 hours), to visit a rare and spectacular site known as the ‘Coloured Canyon’. This incredible area of outstanding rock formations and colours is truly magnificent and a sight not to be missed. Camera’s at the ready! Once the tour is completed, you will be driven to your final destination at Taba approximately 2 hour 30 minutes). Here you will be checked in to your Hotel for an overnight stay. Time to relax.

Day 12: Taba Optional Excursions

A day to enjoy a second relaxing beach resort here at Taba, a pretty location with some nice sightseeing and optional tours if you still feel adventurous. Overnight in Taba.

Day 13: Taba to Wadi Rum, Jordan - Petra

An early start from your hotel at Taba ( breakfast box provided by your Hotel) your Memphis Tours Representative will pick you up from your Hotel in Taba via a modern air-conditioned vehicle by road for a short journey to transfer you by air conditioned vehicle by road to the the Gulf of Aqaba into Jordan (maximum 1 hour crossing the Israeli border - Taxi fees and taxes to be paid locally by yourselves to cross to the Jordanian side) You will be met by another representative who will assist you through immigration and then you will depart Aqaba for Wadi Rum in Jordan (approximately 1 hour from Aqaba).You will be met by a local English speaking Guide for an exciting exploration of Wadi Rum, to enjoy an exhilarating 4X4 ride visiting the Wadi Um Eshreen, the Moving Sand, Al Khazali, Abu Aineh and Rum Mountain. You will see the trail of Lawrence of Arabia and the famous Red Mountains. Drive to Petra ( approximately 2 hours) for an overnight stay in Petra.
Please note* There is a fee to cross from Egypt through the Israeli Border into Jordan (approximately $32 - 20 British Pounds) and a taxi fee from the Israeli Border to Jordan (approximately $25 - 16 British Pounds) Once through the crossing, you will be met and assisted at Jordan by a Representative for a transfer to Wadi Rum, then to Petra.

Day 14: Petra Tour - Amman

The following morning, breakfast at your Hotel in Petra where your English speaking Tour Guide will escort you on your fascinating tour in Petra, an area surrounded by towering hills of rust-colored sandstone which gave the city some natural protection against invaders. In Petra, you will see the wonderful Red Rose Rock City, the city of the Nabateans, the lost city (all carved in the mountains) and get the opportunity to ride horse to the Siq (canyon), the natural crack in the rocks to the Roman Theatre, Royal Tombs, the Roman colonnaded street, Qasr Al-Bent and then the archaeological museum. After your tour, you will be driven by air conditioned vehicle (approximately 3 hours 30 minutes) to check in to a Hotel in Amman for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 15: Amman, Jordan - Fly Back Home
