This time is warm enough to explore famous sites like Petra and Wadi Rum without being overwhelmed by the intense desert heat of the summer, but it's not too cold. The wildflowers are in bloom in the spring, which makes the landscape even more beautiful.
It takes a very long, demanding day to visit Petra, if you're only focused on seeing the main highlights.
However, I would highly recommend spending at least two days there. This gives you enough time to see the major sites like the Treasury and the Monastery without feeling rushed. If you want to explore some of the more hidden trails and viewpoints, or just take your time, a three-day visit would be ideal.
