Jordan Family Holiday - 8 Days Exploring Petra, Wadi Rum & the Dead Sea
Jordan is one of the easiest countries in the region to travel with children — short driving distances, genuinely warm hospitality and sights that hold a child's attention as readily as an adult's. This 8 day Jordan family holiday makes the most of that, spreading seven nights across six different bases so nobody spends the trip in the back of a vehicle.
You start in Madaba, home to the famous Byzantine mosaic map, with a short drive to Mount Nebo for views across the Jordan Valley and a guided walk through Roman Jerash. From there the landscape opens up: the Dana Biosphere Reserve, the Crusader castle at Karak with its tunnels and ramparts, and a night under canvas in Wadi Rum after a two-hour jeep tour across the red sand.
Aqaba brings a change of pace on the Red Sea before two full days at Petra — enough time to see Little Petra, walk the Siq to the Treasury with a local guide, and still explore at a child's pace rather than a schedule's. The trip closes at the Dead Sea, where floating in water ten times saltier than the ocean reliably delights everyone.
Private air-conditioned transfers, English-speaking guides at Petra and Jerash, all entrance fees and every night's accommodation are included. Please note Petra involves considerable walking and horse numbers are limited. Enquire now for family rates.
