Day 01: Arrival Cairo

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Start your Egypt and Petra Tour
Your tour leader will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air conditioned deluxe vehicle. At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2 : Tour to Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Coptic Cairo

On this day of your Egypt and Petra Tour; After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will be accompanied by your private tour guide and driver to visit the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s greatest attractions to visit The Great Pyramids, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle pyramids of Khephren and the little one of Mykerinos and The Mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror for the ancient pharaohs, this tour includes visit to the Valley Temple facing the great sphinx.
Then on the way you will have Lunch, then enjoy a visit to the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt, learn about the great Egyptian civilization and the mummification art in ancient Egypt. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Back to hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3 : Fly to Luxor - Nile Cruise Tours

Enjoy your Egypt and Petra Tour. Check out from hotel in the morning then transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be met by your Memphis Tours Representative to be transferred to your 5 star Nile Cruise vessel for embarkation and check in. Lunch will be served, then you will meet you local Luxor expert English speaking Tour Guide for a fascinating tour of the 2 grand Temples. Karnak Temple is the world's largest ancient religious site. The hypostyle hall with its colossal granite columns is one of Egypt’s infamous landmarks, then moving to Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals that was dedicated to the Gods.The famous Avenue of Sphinx used to connect the two temples, but over time the statues were eroded. The Government are now reconstructing the Avenue to it’s former glory and completion is all but finished. Free time to explore Luxor or take an optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple, or into Luxor City by Kallesh (horse and carriage) to discover the local area and Market. Dinner and overnight on board Nile cruise.

Day 4: Luxor West Bank Tours

After an early breakfast on your Nile Cruise Boat, you will start your half day of tours in Luxor with your expert English speaking Tour Guide to visit the West Bank of Luxor, site of the most famous archeological digs in history. Visit the impressive colonnaded and terraced Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri, which was built into a high cliff face and has graphics telling the story of Hatshepsut’s expeditions to the mysterious land of Punt. Then you will go to the Valley of the Kings to see a selection of the beautifully decorated rock-cut tombs, many of which still display vibrant colour and breathtaking detail of deities and scenes from the Book of the Underworld. The most visited tombs have walkways and electric lighting, and the internal walls are protected by glass.(The 3 tombs you will visit are determined by the Government due to protecting the area and footpaths around and within the tombs). Passing by the huge twin statues known as the Colossi of Memnon for about 15 minutes. Return back to the Cruise for lunch then sailing along the tranquil Nile whilst enjoying the views of local life unchanged for centuries. Take a seat on the top deck for the best views with afternoon tea served around 4pm.
Passing through the Lock as Esna en route to Edfu is an eye opener. Whilst passing through the Lock, you will be entertained by the site of local boatmen frantically rowing up to the cruise vessels and tossing their wares up for quick sales to the passing tourists! Arrive in the evening at Edfu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

After a restful night’s sleep, breakfast will be served on board the Nile cruise ship followed by your next fascinating tour with your knowledgeable Guide to the impressive and most well preserved Horus Temple, known as the Falcon headed God at Edfu then transferred back to the cruise to sail on to Kom Ombo with lunch on board the Nile cruise boat.You will be accompanied by your Egyptologist Tour Guide to visit the Kom Ombo Temple shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris then sailing to Aswan past the spectacular Aswan Bridge known as the ‘Gateway to Nubia’ then ’into the fascinating lights of the Aswan Tombs of the Nobles with dinner and overnight on board the Nile cruise ship in Aswan

Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast on your Nile Cruise in Aswan, you will check out with your Tour Guide who will take you on a discovery of the ‘Unfinished Obelisk’ which still lay in the granite quarries that provided ancient Egypt with building materials. It would have been the largest piece of stone ever handled but when a crack was discovered it was abandoned where it was being hewn. Cross by boat to Angilika Island, to see the Temple of Isis at Philae which is one of the Nubian Temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers, and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Dinner and overnight on board deluxe Nile Cruise concluding your 6th day of your Egypt and Petra Tour.

Day 7: Back to Cairo

Disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast, then transfer to Aswan Airport for your return to Cairo where you will be met and assisted at the airport then taken to your hotel. Overnight at your Hotel in Cairo with an optional tour to the ‘Sound and Light Show’ at the Pyramids in Giza.

Day 8 : Fly to Amman Jordan

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for flight to Amman. Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport our representative will meet and assist you through the customs and immigration procedures. Transfer to the hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 9 : Jerash, Ajloun and Umm Qais Tour

In the morning of this day of your Egypt and Petra Tour, we drive two hours from Amman to Gadara (Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous decapolis, a union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. Here you have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. We leave to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit the spectacular forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Next stop is Ajloun the great 12th century Islamic castle build around 1184/85 by the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din. Back to Amman and overnight.

Day 10 : Madaba, Mount Nebo and Dead Sea Tour

After breakfast drive to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died and his alleged burial place. You visit the old monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho and Jerusalem. After we proceed to Madaba, where to find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. Afterward we drive to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you have leisure time and the chance to float on it's salty water. Overnight Amman hotel.

Day 11: The Rose Red City of Petra Tour

Kick off the 11th day of your Egypt and Jordan Itinerary after a delicious breakfast, then drive about 2 hours to the rose red city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Upon arrival you will begin the trip on horse back to the canyon, the so called Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Among other monuments you will see are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh"s Castle. Afterward back to hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 12 : Final Departure

After breakfast transfer to Queen Alia Airport for final departure.

  • Prices - Per Person in Sterling Per Tour and can be paid in US$ or Euros by credit card via a secure payment system with no extra surcharge. Current prices are valid through September 30, 2024, excluding Christmas Holidays).

  • Child Policy - Infants and children up to 5.99 years old sharing parents’ accommodation are free of charge.
    - Children 6 to 11.99 years old sharing parents’ accommodations with an extra bed are entitled to half of the price of an adult rate.
    - Children 12 years and older are considered adults, therefore full rates will apply.

  • Deposit and Payment - It is recommended to make the booking for your desired tours as soon as possible to ensure the places. Bookings are guaranteed upon receiving a deposit of 25 % of the total amount of the package selected.  This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit is a part of your final payment price. Payments can be done by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), wire transfer, or Western Union.

  • Visa to Jordan - Upon arrival at Amman International Airport free entry visa is issued to all travelers staying in Jordan for more than three (3) nights. If staying less than 3 nights then a visa fee of US$ 56 is required.

    Travelers also need a passport with a validity of at least 6 months prior to entry.
