Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’

Welcome to Egypt. You will be met and assisted on arrival at Cairo International Airport by our Memphis Tours Representative, then transferred by air conditioned vehicle to your Hotel for check in and a welcome drink. He will explain what to expect on your visit. Your Tour Leader will be your point of contact throughout the whole trip, and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday, in addition to the Tour Leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day / evening at your leisure. *There is an optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.
Welcome Drink

Day 2: Egypt Pyramids Tour

After breakfast you will be escorted by your Tour Guide for a tour of the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle pyramids of Khephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and the mysterious Sphinx, (the Father of Terror for the ancient Pharaohs). The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx. The plateau is as famous for the mysterious structure 'the Sphinx' as it is for the pyramids, where you will visit the Valley Temple. Your visit to Giza will include enough time to do the optional visit to the solar boat, which was the vessel used to carry the Pharaoh’s mummy across the Nile, before being buried at the foot of the pyramid for use in his afterlife. After Giza, you will be transferred to Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara, which is the first pyramid built in Egypt and was designed by Imhotep. It is at Saqqara where the first spells for the Pharaoh's afterlife were found. Whilst there, you will also see Teti's pyramid and several ancient tombs. After Saqqara you will transfer to Memphis, the ancient Capital of Egypt, to visit the colossal statue of Ramesses II and a Temple dedicated to Hathor which is still half-buried. After that you will be transferred back to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing - Fly to Aswan

Check-out after breakfast and then you will be accompanied by your private egyptologist Tour Guide to visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess, with option visit to the Mummification Room at the Egyptian Museum to learn about the Great Egyptian civilization and art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Then you will also visit the Citadel of Saladin that is overlooking the city from the Muqattam Hills and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside that was built in Turkish style and very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey and simply considered to be one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of old Cairo then visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the suspended church, a basilica church named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon. The church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. You will also visit the famous Jewish heritage in Cairo including Ben Ezra Synagogue the temple contains a Jewish heritage library, containing documents found here in 1896 that describe the economic and social conditions of Jews under Arab rule as well as descriptions of relations between various Jewish sects. Finally a shopping tour at Khan El-Khalili Bazaar then from there you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan - Optional Abu Simbel Excursion

Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel in Aswan and free time at your Hotel in Aswan with an optional excursion to Abu Simbel temples (Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions) to see the magnificence of these two Temples, the main Temple of Ramses 11 and the Temple dedicated to his wife Nefertari. They are undisputedly one of the world's most breathtaking monuments, and Egypt’s second most visited tourist site (the Pyramids of Giza being on the top of the list) the most remarkable feature of the temple of Abu-Simbel is that the construction is oriented in a way that twice a year, the morning sun rays shine through the length of the inner temple cave and illuminate the statues of the Gods seated at the end of the cave illuminate the sculptures on the back wall, except for the statue of Ptah, the god connected with the Underworld, who always remained in the dark.Then you will be transferred back to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay in Aswan.

Day 5: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Breakfast at the Hotel in Aswan then you will be transferred to embark your Nile Cruise boat. Once settled in, you will be taken in an exciting tour to the world famous Aswan High Dam that was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops; Then you will be taken by motorboat to the Island of Egilka visit the majestic Philae Temple, originally of Nubian culture. that was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Continue to the granite quarries which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and Temples. The quarries still hold the famous Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the Nile Cruise ship in Aswan free time at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 6: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Sail to Kom Ombo. After breakfast will be accompanied by your English speaking Guide to visit Kom Ombo Temple, home of the Crocodile-headed God of fertility Sobek, creator of the world, and Horus. Lunch and afternoon tea onboard your cruise with free time at leisure whilst sailing to Edfu to explore Edfu's Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved Ancient Egyptian temples on the Nile Continue the cruise down the Nile to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay onboard cruise in Edfu

Day 7: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

Breakfast on board the cruise during sailing to Luxor, and then you will be taken over to the West bank of the River Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs of the Ancients were discovered ( including the boy King Tutankhamun ).These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit ).Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. and then visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), Continue your Luxor sightseeing tour to visit Luxor Temple then Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then you will be transferred to the majestic Luxor temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun. Evening at leisure or an optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple, or free time to explore traditional Luxor City. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor - Fly to Dahab (via Sharm El Sheikh Airport)

Enjoy breakfast on board your Nile cruise Luxor before disembarkation from the Nile cruise about 8:00 am , then you will be transferred to your Luxor airport to fly to Sharm El Sheikh where you will be met and assisted and transferred to your hotel in Dahab ( approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by road in an air conditioned vehicle ) for check in at the Hotel with free time at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 9: Dahab Red Sea Optional Excursions

After breakfast at your Hotel in Dahab, you can relax by the Red Sea and enjoy the crystal clear waters, sea life and corals with options to swim, snorkel or dive with one of the many Diving Schools and qualified instructors. Overnight in Dahab.

Day 10: Dahab To St. Catherine Monastery Tour

After breakfast at your Hotel, your Tour Guide will collect you for a fascinating tour to The Monastery of St. Catherine which lies at the foot of the Gebel Musa, or Mount Moses, in the heart of the South Sinai. Fronted by gardens and cypress trees, the Monastery is owned and run by the Greek Orthodox Church. Its rich library houses one of the world's largest collections of illuminated manuscripts and the ‘Room of Skulls’ coming second only to the Vatican. You can see where the Burning Bush is reputed to have grown and a large number of antique works of art including invaluable icons, beautifully carved doors, exquisite wall paintings and other fine religious ornaments. Transfer back to your Hotel. Overnight in Dahab.

Day 11: Dahab Red Sea - Fly to Amman, Jordan

Breakfast at your hotel in Dahab with free time at leisure and then you will be transferred to Sharm El Sheikh international Airport to fly to Amman in Jordan. Upon Arrival at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, our Representative will meet and assist you. Then we will transfer you to your hotel in Amman.

Day 12: Tour to Jerash, Jordan

Breakfast at your hotel in Amman, for a tour of a Roman theme. A transfer North to Jerash, a City considered to be the best example of Roman provinces in all of the Middle East. The Oval Plaza is next on the agenda and is a Roman colonnaded street, along with the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis, fountains and City walls surrounded by by towers and gates. Finally to Ajloun Castle, built by Izz Al-Din Usama, one of Salah Al-Din's generals in 1184 AD. Back to your hotel in Amman to overnight.

Day 13: Madaba and the Dead Sea Tour

Breakfast, then with your Tour Guide and the driver to the town of Madaba, where you will discover the ancient wonder, a beautifully crafted 6th century Mosaic in the floor of the Old Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George, which is a map of depicting the biblical regions from Libya to Egypt. After that, a stunning view of Mount Nebo, the location where the Holy Prophet Moses was said to have gazed across at the Promised Land. He is said to have been buried at this place. An old Monastery overlooking the Jordan Valley, along with the Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land are the next stop on your tour. Finally, a drive to what is known as the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Here you have leisure time and the chance to float on the famous water’s known to ‘float’ a person and not sink! Also, it is known for its mineral and mud properties for therapeutic benefits. Then you will be transferred to Petra to check into your room with for free leisure time and relaxation. Overnight at your hotel in Petra.

Day 14: Ancient City of Petra

After breakfast, the big event of your Jordan tour. Your tour guide will escort you to explore Petra, the most famous and visited site known as Red Rose Rock City. the biggest attraction in Jordan. Petra is an enormous cave and City structure built in the rock face, first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a Nomadic tribe who settled in the area. Choose from a horse ride or by foot reach the vast canyons (the Siq), and then walk or ride through the most incredible monument known as the Treasury. Other Monuments are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh's Castle. Afterwards, we drive back to Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 15: Amman - Fly Back Home

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman for final departure.
