1.What is the best time of year to travel to Jordan?

The spring (March to May) or the autumn (September to November) are the absolute best time to visit Jordan. The weather during these seasons is just perfect.

This time is warm enough to explore famous sites like Petra and Wadi Rum without being overwhelmed by the intense desert heat of the summer, but it's not too cold. The wildflowers are in bloom in the spring, which makes the landscape even more beautiful.

2.How many days in Jordan to see Petra?

It takes a very long, demanding day to visit Petra, if you're only focused on seeing the main highlights.

However, I would highly recommend spending at least two days there. This gives you enough time to see the major sites like the Treasury and the Monastery without feeling rushed. If you want to explore some of the more hidden trails and viewpoints, or just take your time, a three-day visit would be ideal.

3.Why should I travel to Jordan?

I think you should travel to Jordan for so many reasons.

  • The incredible history. It's home to some of the most spectacular ancient wonders in the world, including the "Rose City" of Petra.
  • The Roman ruins, crusader castles, and stunning mosaics.
  • Beyond the history, the landscapes are truly breathtaking—from the vibrant desert of Wadi Rum to the unique experience of floating in the Dead Sea.
  • The people are also incredibly warm and welcoming.
  • The food is a delicious mix of Middle Eastern flavors.
4.What documents do I need to travel to Jordan?

To travel to Jordan, you need a few key documents. The most important is your passport, which has to be valid for at least six months from your entry date.

You also need a visa. You can get a single-entry visa upon arrival at the airport, but you can also apply for one in advance.

There is also a Jordan Pass, which is recommended for checking out. It covers the cost of your visa if you stay a certain number of nights and includes entry fees to many major tourist sites.

5.Is Petra from the Seven Wonders?

Yes, Petra is absolutely one of the Seven Wonders of the World! Specifically, it was named one of the "New 7 Wonders of the World" in 2007, and it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. When you see the intricate rock-carved architecture, it's easy to understand why it earned its place on that list.

6.What is the best month to visit Petra?

The best months to visit Petra are March, April, May, September, October, and November. The weather is very comfortable during these times, making it perfect for walking and exploring the vast site.

The temperatures are mild, and you avoid the intense heat of the summer and the potential for cold and rain in the winter.
