Your Memphis Tours English speaking Egyptologist Tour Guide will be ready and waiting for you at your boat exit point at Alexandria Port upon arrival in the morning holding a sign with your name. He will accompany you throughout your tour from start to finish, returning you to your boat at the end of the day. Your private shore excursion from Alexandria to Cairo will begin with your transfer by road (approximately 3 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle) with a rest stop on the way. Lunch is included at a local restaurant then after lunch, drive for your exciting tour of the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also referred to as the Giza Museum, an archaeological museum located in Giza, Egypt, approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. The GEM Complex is currently providing limited access to test site readiness and the visitor experience in anticipation of its official opening. At present, admission is restricted to the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and exterior gardens. Finally, you will be escorted by your Guide back to the Cruise Ship according to your ship's departure time at Alexandria Port.
