Day 1: Arrival Cairo - Welcome to land of the Pharaoh’s

Welcome to Egypt. You will be met and assisted on arrival at Cairo International Airport by our Memphis Tours Representative, then transferred by air conditioned vehicle to your Hotel for check in and a welcome drink. He will explain what to expect on your visit. Your Tour Leader will be your point of contact throughout the whole trip, and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday, in addition to the Tour Leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. *There is an optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and Sakkara

Your expert Egyptologist Tour Guide will pick you up from the Hotel in Cairo and transfer you to Memphis, the ancient Capital of Egypt, to visit the colossal statue of Ramesses II and a Temple dedicated to Hathor which is still half-buried. After Memphis, you will be transferred to Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara, which is the first pyramid built in Egypt and was designed by Imhotep. It is at Saqqara where the first spells for the Pharaoh's afterlife were found. Whilst there, you will also see Teti's pyramid and several ancient tombs. Finally on to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Middle pyramids of Khephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and the mysterious Sphinx, (the Father of Terror for the ancient Pharaohs). The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx. The plateau is as famous for the mysterious structure 'the Sphinx' as it is for the pyramids, where you will visit the Valley Temple.

Day 3: Fly Cairo to Luxor Nile Cruise

Check out from your Hotel in the morning then transfer to Cairo International Airport for a flight to Luxor where you will be met and assisted, Then you will be transferred to embark your Nile River Cruise ship in Luxor, where we will enjoy the next 4 days / 3 nights deluxe Nile cruise holiday between Luxor and Aswan. After lunch on board, enjoy a visit to Luxor East bank starting with the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The temple, or, more correctly, the complex of temples, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then you will be transferred to the majestic Luxor Temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the god Amun. Evening at leisure or an optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple, or free time to explore traditional Luxor City. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

After breakfast on your Nile cruise your Tour Guide will escort you the the famous West Bank of Luxor to take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, known as the Valley of the Kings. the magnificent tombs of the Ancients were discovered (including the boy King Tutankhamun). These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs.(The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit ). Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. and then visit the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), After lunch, you will sail to Edfu passing through the large Lock at Esna. enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea and dinner on board. Overnight on board Nile Cruise. Overnight at Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

After breakfast will be accompanied by your English speaking Guide to visit Edfu temple, known as the Temple of the Falcon headed God Horus and one of the best preserved temples of Ancient Egypt. After this, sailing on to Kom Ombo Temple and home of the Crocodile-headed God of fertility Sobek, creator of the world, and Horus. Lunch and afternoon tea onboard your cruise whilst sailing on to Aswan under the large and interesting Aswan bridge, the gateway to Nubian Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 6: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Breakfast on your Nile Cruise in Aswan then taken in an exciting tour to the world famous Aswan High Dam that was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Then you will be taken by motorboat to the Island of Egilka visit the majestic Philae Temple, originally of Nubian culture.that was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Continue to the granite quarries which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and Temples. The quarries still hold the famous Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the Nile Cruise boat in Aswan free time at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 7: Fly Aswan to Cairo

Disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast, then transfer to Aswan Airport for your return to Cairo where you will be met and assisted at the Airport then taken to your hotel. Full free day at leisure in Cairo with optional tours available upon request. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 8: Cairo Sightseeing Tours

After breakfast, Proceed with your Guide to visit the famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to see the treasures of Tutankhamun, among many other fascinating pharaonic artifacts. Built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddess, with option visit to the Mummification Room at the Egyptian Museum to learn about the Great Egyptian civilization and art of mummification in ancient Egypt.Lunch at a good quality local restaurant. Then back to the Hotel for overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 9: Fly Cairo to Istanbul - Hello Turkey

Breakfast at your Hotel in Cairo and then you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport to fly to Istanbul, Turkey. Upon your arrival at Istanbul, your English-speaking driver will meet and assist you, and then escort you to your Hotel in Istanbul. There will be a Representative to inform you of your itinerary for the next 5 days in Istanbul Turkey. Check in to your room and enjoy the afternoon free to explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 10: Istanbul Old City Tour

After breakfast at your Hotel in Istanbul, you will be picked up to enjoy the Old Historical City of Istanbiul that spans both Europe and Asia. A tour to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia,Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome are all included. Free time in the Grand bazaar with it’s 3,500 shops to end the day and then back to your Hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 11: Istanbul - Cappadocia Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Istanbul Airport for a flight to Cappadocia. After a 1 hour flight, you will arrive in Kayseri and meet your Tour Guide and transfer to your hotel. After check-in at the hotel, you will start a private tour of Cappadocia tour at around 12:00 midday visiting the Goreme Open Air Museum, the Underground Cities, ‘Fairy Chimneys’ and much more. Back to your Hotel and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 12: Cappadocia Tour - Izmir

After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin your second day of tours in Cappadocia. Firstly, a visit to Zelve then taking a walk in to Ihlara Canyon Valley up to Belisirma village, the ancient Peristrema. You will visit the Rock-cut Churches and witness the early Christian art and images from the Bible painted on their walls. Climb to the top of the Uchisar Castle for a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. Afterward you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Izmir. Check into your Hotel and stay overnight in Izmir.

Day 13: Ephesus Tour - Back to Istanbul

After breakfast, depart for visit a fascinating tour of Artemis Temple, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to Ephesus, an important centre of early Christianity and the site of many impressive ruins. Lunch will be served in the garden of a local handicrafts centre where you will see a demonstration of traditional carpet weaving techniques and enjoy looking at some of the beautiful carpets. After lunch you will visit House of the Virgin Mary, located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles from Ephesus. Mary came to Ephesus with St. John after the death of Jesus Christ and lived there until her death. Drive to Izmir airport for your flight back to Istanbul at 18.30pm. After a 1 hour flight, arrival in Istanbul at 19.30pm for a transfer to the Hotel for overnight in Istanbul.

Day 14: Istanbul - Fly Back Home

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for final departure and flight

Early Reservations advised to avoid disappointment in securing your spaces..Booking secured upon receipt of a 25% deposit. During the Christmas holidays, packages require a deposit of 50%. forming part of your final payment. Packages and vacations which include International flights will require the full flight cost and deposit (25% or 50%) due to the regulations of the Airlines who require full payment
