Itinerary
4 Days - Aswan / Luxor Every Monday

Day 1: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

You will be met on arrival at Aswan Airport by a Memphis Tours Representative who will assist you then transfer you by air-conditioned vehicle to check into your Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise. Lunch will be served then you will meet your English-speaking expert Tour Guide to start your afternoon tours in Aswan. Start your visit to the Aswan High Dam which was built in the 1960s to provide the much-needed electricity and irrigation for the country. Nubia, the area that was flooded, experienced the biggest and most thorough archaeological excavations that Egypt has ever known. Cross by boat to Angelika Island, to see the Temple of Isis at Philae which is one of the Nubian Temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Back to your Nile Cruise for evening dinner on board with time for relaxation and overnight stay in Aswan.

Day 2: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will be taken on your guided tour of the Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World. The other side is dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder. Following this, Lunch and afternoon tea on board until reaching Edfu then a  to visit with your Guide to Horus Temple, an inspiring Temple dedicated to the God Horus (falcon-headed God) and one of the best-preserved temples along the Nile. Back on board your Nile Cruise for sailing to Luxor with dinner on board. Overnight in Esna.

Day 3: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

An early breakfast on the Nile Cruise, then a guided tour of the West Bank in Luxor to visit the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon
Return back to your Nile Cruise for lunch then you will be escorted by your guide for a fascinating insight into Ancient Egypt along the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to Karnak and Luxor Temples. You will return to your Nile Cruise Boat for dinner with the option to enjoy the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple in the evening or discover Luxor City and the local market. overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor Nile Cruise - Final Departure

Final breakfast onboard the Minerva Nile Cruise, then you will be transferred to Luxor Airport or Train Station for your departure.

5 Days - Luxor / Aswan Every Thursday

Day 1: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

On arrival in Luxor, you will be met and assisted at Luxor Airport or Train Station by a Memphis Tours Representative and driven by air-conditioned vehicle to do your first tour on Luxor’s East Bank to Karnak Temple in all it’s magnificence and was the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then you will be transferred to the majestic Luxor Temple which built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the God Amun. After the tour, you will check in on your Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise. Evening onboard with dinner and time to familiarise yourself with the Nile cruise and facilities.

Day 2: Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions

Your opportunity to enjoy a lovely breakfast on board the Nile cruise boat in Luxor before heading off to the West Bank with your own personal Egyptologist Tour Guide for an incredible journey back into ancient Egyptian history to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon followed by your transfer back to the cruise ship in Luxor. The afternoon will be spent sailing along the ancient River Nile to Edfu via the interesting Lock at Esna where you will have the opportunity to observe local life and take some memorable photographs. Once arrived at Edfu, you can enjoy your superb dinner on board the Nile cruise ship while docked overnight.

Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

Day 5: Optional Tour to Abu Simbel - Final Departure

Disembarkation after breakfast with free time to explore the lovely city of Aswan with its famous Nubian culture then transfer to Aswan airport/train station for your departure.
Please note* There is an optional excursion to Abu Simbel (highly recommended) from Aswan by private air-conditioned vehicle or by Egypt air to explore the impressive temples of King Ramses II and Queen Nefertari temple of Abu Simbel and then back to Aswan with free time at leisure in Aswan on your own.

  • Prices - Per Person in Sterling Per Tour and can be paid in US$ or Euros by credit card via a secure payment system with no extra surcharge. Current prices are valid until April 30, 2024, excluding Easter and Christmas Holidays.

  • Payment - Early Reservations are advised to avoid disappointment in securing your spaces. Booking is secured upon receipt of a 25% deposit. During the Christmas holidays, packages require a deposit of 50%. forming part of your final payment.

  • Transportation - Transport for all Nile Cruise Tours included air-conditioned vehicles. Wi-Fi, Bottled water, and an icebox are all included onboard whilst traveling by road. All are new vehicles of the latest design and technology.

  • Food and drinks - Nile Cruise Boats offer lunch on arrival and breakfast on your departure. Onboard, all meals are included along with certain drinks. Alcoholic drinks served at the bar and restaurants are at an additional cost
