Itinerary
Day 1  - Alexandria to Cairo
Our professional Memphis Tours English speaking Egyptologist Guide will pick you up from your exit point of the Ship at Alexandria Port in the morning holding a sign with your name. Your private shore excursion from Alexandria to Cairo will be by road (approximately 3 hours) in an air-conditioned vehicle with a rest stop on the way. Upon arrival at Giza you will start your tour with a visit to Sakkara, part of Memphis's massive necropolis, and the burial site of the most ancient of Pharaohs seeing the first pyramids build in Egypt, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by Imhotep the ancient Egyptian architect. Then a visit to the Teti Pyramid, Tomb of Mereruca and other monuments in Sakkara followed by a transfer to Memphis, the ancient Capital of Egypt to visit the colossal statue of Ramses II and nearby a still half-buried Hathor Temple. A drive to the famous Giza Plateau will reveal Egypt’s signature attractions, that of the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle Pyramids of Chephren, the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and mysterious Sphinx, (known as the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs). The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx and a shopping tour to famous Bazaars and Papyrus Institutes in the Giza area with lunch at a good quality restaurant around Pyramids area. Back to your Cairo Hotel to check in and overnight in Cairo.

Day 2 - Cairo to Alexandria
After breakfast at the Hotel in Cairo, your private English-speaking Egyptologist Guide will escort you to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also referred to as the Giza Museum, an archaeological museum located in Giza, Egypt, approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. The GEM Complex is currently providing limited access to test site readiness and the visitor experience in anticipation of its official opening. At present, admission is restricted to the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and exterior gardens. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then you will visit the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities which was built in a neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon and exhibits collections now exceeding 120000 masterpieces ranging from Pre-Dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddesses. Finally, you will be escorted by your Guide back to the Cruise Ship according to your ship's departure time at Alexandria Port.

This 5-day tour was the ideal way to see Cairo and Luxor without feeling rushed. From the moment we were greeted at the airport, everything ran smoothly — transfers, flights, and hotel check-ins were flawless. The expert Egyptologist guides made the history come alive at the Pyramids, Sphinx and in the Valley of the Kings. I especially loved exploring Karnak Temple and hearing stories abo

Perfect Introduction to Egypt’s Ancient Wonders

Our family loved this tour! The itinerary was packed with Egypt’s must-see sites, yet it never felt too tiring. The hot air balloon ride over Luxor was a real highlight — breathtaking views and unforgettable. The guides were professional, knowledgeable and made every stop fascinating for adults and kids alike. The included meals were delicious, and accommodation was comfortable thro

Amazing Highlights With Excellent Guides

What impressed me most was how seamless everything was — especially the domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor and back. The tour logistics were handled expertly, and our guide ensured we got the most out of every site. The Nile cruise portion felt magical, and the attention to detail in every activity was excellent. If you want a well-organised, stress-free Egypt experience from the UK, thi

Smooth, Enjoyable and Good Value

Our tour was well organised from start to finish. The drive out to Bahariya Oasis gave us a real sense of Egypt’s landscape beyond the cities. Visiting the Golden Mummies tombs and the English House was fascinating, and the Black Desert’s volcanic hills were impressive. The White Desert was truly spectacular at sunset. The accommodation varied but was comfortable, and meals were goo

Perfect Blend of Culture and Desert Magic

This trip balanced iconic sites with authentic desert adventures. The Pyramids and GEM were amazing, but the desert journey from Bahariya to the White Desert was the highlight for us. It felt off-the-beaten-path yet safe and well-supported. Our guides were friendly and professional, always ensuring we were comfortable. The camping experience in the White Desert was unique and something we&rsquo

Memphis Tours Did a Fantastic Job

Our trip to Egypt was truly special. While every ancient site was breathtaking, the most memorable moment came during our Nile cruise. Our guide, Ahmed, saw our genuine curiosity about local life. He arranged for us to take a small boat to a remote village, where we shared mint tea with a local family. Sitting on their rooftop, we watched the sunset over the river and listened to their stories,

The True Heart of Egypt

This was one of the most memorable trips I’ve taken. The itinerary covered so much — from the Pyramids to remote desert landscapes. The overnight camp in the White Desert was definitely a highlight, and the food during the tour was better than expected. Transportation was smooth, and the guide was excellent at keeping us on schedule while still enjoying each stop. Highly recommended

A Fantastic Journey with Unexpected Costs

I was worried about the long drive, but the private vehicle was so comfortable and our guide was an absolute expert. He made the time fly by with incredible stories and details about the sites. Seeing the Valley of the Kings in person was a spiritual experience.

A Day That Felt Like a Week

I have always wanted to do a hot air balloon ride, and Luxor was the perfect place. The team was so organized from the hotel pick-up to the smooth landing. The flight itself was so peaceful, and the view of the Nile and the fertile lands was beautiful. A must-do.
