Day 1: Arrival Cairo - Welcome to Egypt

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by your Memphis Tours Representative who will accompany you to your hotel in Cairo for check-in and a free welcome drink. There you will be introduced to your Tour Manager for the trip, who will explain what to expect on your visit and will be your point of contact throughout the whole trip. He and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday, in addition to the Tour Manager you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. There is a wonderful opportunity to do an optional excursion to the Sound & Light Show on Giza Plateau, by the magnificent Pyramids.

Day 2: Cairo Sightseeing Tour - Train to Luxor

After breakfast at your Hotel in Cairo, you will be accompanied by your own private Egyptologist Tour Guide to visit the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s greatest attractions the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle Pyramids of Chephren smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and the Mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs.The tour includes visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx. On the way you will have Lunch, then enjoy a visit to the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now of over 120000 masterpieces ranging from Pre-Dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt, learn and discover the great Egyptian civilization and art of mummification in ancient Egypt. Moving on to visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the Suspended Church, this Basilica Church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon The Church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt Afterwards an enjoyable afternoon of shopping at the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar and Old Market in Cairo.This full day ends with dinner during an overnight trip to Luxor by a Sleeper Train.

Day 3: Luxor Sightseeing Tour

Enjoy breakfast with sunrise view before arriving Luxor, where you will be met by Memphis Tours representative then you will be escorted by your Guide across to the West Bank, the site of the two colossal statues of Amenhotep known as the Colossi of Memnon, and then visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs were discovered, including the boy King Tutankhamun. These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the Pharaohs. You will visit 3 tombs, then continue the tour to visit Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary.(The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). This impressive Temple is dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs. Following this, you will explore the East Bank and the famous Karnak Temple the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means “the most sacred of places.” The Temple, or, more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then continue the tour to visit the majestic Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the God Amun. Then on to your hotel in Luxor for check in.

Day 4: Fly Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh Red Sea

After breakfast in your Hotel in Luxor you will be transferred to Luxor Airport to fly to Sharm el-Sheikh Red sea, one of Egypt’s most popular destinations for families, friends and couples alike. Once you have checked-in and received your free welcome drink, your time is at leisure. Having spent a week enjoying Egypt’s ancient culture, you can now relax by the Red Sea and enjoy a varied nightlife and endless activities for all the family. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.

Day 5: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure to relax or book one of our optional activities in Sharm El Sheikh. There are desert trips to the surrounding areas including quad bike adventures, 4X4 Jeep Safaris, a day or evening with the Bedouins to explore their fascinating and ancient traditions of desert life. Or book out highly Recommended excursion to St. Catherine’s Monastery and the famous Mount Moses where Moses was said to have received the Ten Commandments. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh

Day 6: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

After breakfast, enjoy an array of optional activities for all. There are desert trips to the surrounding areas including quad bike adventures, 4X4 Jeep Safaris, a day or evening with the Bedouins to explore their fascinating and ancient traditions of desert life. If you wish to stay more central but would still like to find an activity, there are glass bottom boats and Island boat tours available throughout the day. Day 7: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

A further day of either relaxation or many other optional excursions available through your Tour Guide. Recommended is a wonderful scenic adventure back to Biblical times to the Sinai Mountains so visit St. Catherine’s Monastery and the famous Mount Moses where Moses was said to have received the Ten Commandments, Breathtaking views and a wonderful photo opportunity to capture magical views for your album.

Day 8: Sharm El Sheikh Optional Excursions

After breakfast enjoy your day at leisure, to relax, swim soak up the sun or take an optional tour to the Coloured Canyon, one of Sinai’s natural wonders. Take a walk between the dramatic sandstone canyon walls streaked with yellows, purples, reds, magentas and gold, making you feel as though you are in a spectacular colouring book. In certain places the canyon walls reach up to 40 meters.

Day 9: Fly Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo

After breakfast at your Hotel you will be transferred to Sharm el-Sheikh Airport to fly to Cairo. Check-in your hotel in Cairo and enjoy free time to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. a lovely way to end your memorable holiday would be to take the optional Nile cruise dinner for two hours sailing on the Nile River with an excellent entertainment programme including belly dancer, a Tanoura show, and live band with open buffet dinner. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 10: Cairo - Fly Back Home
