The crossing is planned during the best time of day to take advantage of the sun on the deck and see the Aegean Sea's intense blue. You will be met when you arrive on the island and taken to your accommodation. You can rest and get a feeling of the islanders' "slow" way of life during the remaining hours of the day. Kick off the 7th day of your Greece Trip Package with a tasty breakfast, then our driver will pick you up at the prearranged time and take you to the port of Santorini, where you may board a boat to Crete, the biggest island in Greece, specifically to the port of Heraklion. Heraklion, which literally translates to " the splendor of the goddess Hera" in Greek, is the capital of the island and one of the most intriguing and dynamic towns in the Mediterranean. The ferocious Minotaur and King Minos lived there, making it the most significant city of the Minoan civilization. The Palace of Knossos, the oldest palace structure in Europe, is also located here. We advise taking a leisurely stroll around the attractive ancient district and, of course, paying a visit to the spectacular Palace of Knossos, where the legendary King Minos and the vicious Minotaur once resided.
