Day 1: Arrival Cairo - Welcome

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by your Tour Manager from Memphis Tours who will accompany you to your Hotel for check-in and a free welcome drink. There you will be introduced to your Tour Leader for the duration of your trip who will explain what to expect on your visit and will be your point of contact throughout your stay.He will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday, in addition to the Tour Leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check in you are free to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. An optional excursion to the ‘Sound & Light Show’ at Giza Plateau, by the magnificent Pyramids is a perfect introduction to start your exciting experience here in Egypt.

Day 2 : Cairo Tours - Aswan

After breakfast at your Hotel, you will be escorted by your Tour Guide to Giza where you will start your tour to the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s Greatest attractions to visit the Great Pyramids,one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Middle Pyramids of Chephren and the smallest Pyramid of Mykerinos and mysterious Sphinx, (considered the Father of Terror to the ancient Pharaohs.The tour includes a visit to the Valley Temple facing the great Sphinx. Lunch is included at a local restaurant then after lunch, driven for your exciting tour of the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon. It exhibits a collection of over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt including the treasures of the child King Tutankhamen, Pharaonic Gods and Goddesses.Finally, on to the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the Suspended Church, this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the center of the Christian Church of Egypt. This full day ends with dinner during an overnight trip to Aswan by a Sleeper Train.

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Enjoy breakfast with sunrise view on the train before arriving Aswan, where you will be met by your Guide for the day.You will begin by visiting the Aswan High Dam which was built in the 1960’s to provide the much needed electricity and irrigation for the country. Nubia, the area that was flooded, experienced the biggest and most thorough archaeological excavations that Egypt has ever known. Then you will visit the ‘Unfinished Obelisk’ which still lies in the Granite Quarries which provided ancient Egypt with building materials. It would have been the largest piece of stone ever handled but when a crack was discovered it was abandoned where it was being hewn. Cross by boat to Angilika Island, to see the Temple of Isis at Philae which is one of the Nubian temples rescued before the High Dam was built. Enjoy Philae’s long colonnades, towers and reliefs which include the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Then you will be transferred to your Nile cruise ship.

Day 4: Kom Ombo / Edfu Temples

After enjoying breakfast onboard your cruise ship in Aswan, you will sail to see the unique Temple at Kom Ombo. Of all the ancient temples in Egypt, this is the only one which is divided into two, reflecting it’s dedication to two Gods: Sobek, the Crocodile God of fertility; and the falcon-headed Horus, God of the sky. Kom Ombo is also famous for the depictions of surgeon's instruments, giving us an early record of medicine and surgery in Ancient Egypt. In the afternoon sailing on to visit the huge Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu, which is the most complete and best preserved of the Egyptian Temples, consisting of many columns, halls, chambers and chapels. Two statues of Horus flank the twin towered entrance gate; and inside, one of the interesting inscriptions lists the titles of books (scrolls) held in the library. The rest of the day is spent at leisure and overnight on board.

Day 5: Luxor West Bank

After breakfast your Tour Guide will take you on an informative and historical trip to the West Bank of the Nile River in Luxor to visit the two enormous and impressive Colossi of Memnon the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III then a journey into ancient Egyptian history at the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent Tombs were discovered including the famous boy King Tutankhamun. These Tombs were carved deep into the desert rock,richly decorated and filled with treasures from the afterlife of the Pharaohs and include a visit 3 Tombs, (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). Then you will continue your tour to Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive Temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs. For the rest of the day you will have free time to spend at leisure in Luxor City to experience the culture and traditions of Upper Egypt. Overnight Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor East Bank - Hurghada Red Sea

After breakfast, your Tour Guide will escort you to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Then moving to Luxor Temple (built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals that was dedicated to the god Amon) once linked to Karnak by the ‘Avenue of Sphinx’, currently being restored). Luxor was once the capital of Egypt, known as Thebes, and you will get a real insight to the history here. Then you will be transferred to Hurghada which is approximately 4 hours drive by an air conditioned vehicle for check in at your Hotel in Hurghada. Overnight stay in Hurghada Red Sea.

Day 7: Red Sea - Diving Excursion

After breakfast, an enthralling adventure diving in the Red Sea and seeing the amazing under water rare coral reefs including two dives per day, diving guide, diving equipment, lunch and soft drinks on your diving boat. Non divers can also enjoy intro diving and snorkeling along the beautiful barrier reefs.2 tank boat guided underwater diving expeditions are programmed daily, with a break between them for lunch on board boat (dive certificate). Non divers can also take part in the expeditions and snorkel along the beautiful barrier reefs. Free time at leisure in Hurghada with overnight at your hotel in Hurghada.

Day 8:Hurghada Optional Adventure

Today is a choice as to whether to spend the day diving and snorkeling, or choose many of the optional tour on offer, exploring the surrounding areas of Hurghada including desert and Red Sea excursions. A fun adventure can be explored by Desert Safari Quad Bike from Hurghada by Quad Bike to see the beauty and nature of the desert by evening with a cooler atmosphere and sunset views.It includes several exciting activities besides your Quad Bike such as leisurely Camel ride, sand surfing, delight in Bedouin evening of food, song and dance. An unmissable experience.

Day 9: Red Sea Optional Tours

A further day of fun or relaxation in Hurghada with more optional tours available. How about a dry adventure underwater Sinbad Submarine from Hurghada at one of the best locations in the Red Sea, Egypt, From Hurghada. Escorted for your Submarine adventure to see stunning underwater life of beautiful coral, many species of fish and other sea creatures.

Day 10: Hurghada Optional Tours

Final day of relaxation or activities in and around Hurghada. Last opportunity to dive or snorkel in the lovely reefs of the Red Sea, or Island excursions, boat trips or desert 4X4 Jeep adventures.
Hurghada has a variety of activities for all with a wide range of choices both day and night. A wonderful evening experience is the renowned ‘ Alf Leila Wa Leila Show’ in Hurghada. A spectacular evening of colourful traditional Egyptian entertainment performed against a background of the Sphinxes and Temples of the Pharaohs. Arabian tales and magic come alive with a spectacular ‘Sound- and Light Show’ telling Egypt's glorious history, with pulsating Egyptian music, horse show of Bedouin Knights presenting individual and group acrobatic games, and folklore dance performed in colourful costumes. An absolutely unmissable show.

Day 11: Hurghada to Cairo by Air

After breakfast at your Hotel you will be transferred to Hurghada Airport to fly to Cairo. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. This would be a good time to reflect and enjoy the last evening of your Egyptian experience by attending an optional Nile cruise dinner for two hours sailing on the Nile River with an excellent entertainment programme of belly dancer, Tanoora show, and live band with open buffet Dinner.

Day 12: Final Departure

After breakfast at your Hotel you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your return flight home.
