Day 1: Arrive Cairo ‘Welcome to Egypt’

You will be met and assisted on arrival at Cairo Airport by a Memphis Tours Egypt Representative, then transferred by air conditioned vehicle to your Hotel in Cairo for check in and a free welcome drink. There you will be introduced to your tour leader for your Cairo and Luxor Tour, who will explain what to expect on your holiday. Your tour leader will be your point of contact throughout the whole holiday to Cairo and Luxor, and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Memphis Tours. Throughout your holiday to Cairo and Luxor, in addition to the tour leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking Tour Guides, who have been chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day/evening at your leisure. There is an optional tour at the Pyramids known as the ‘Sound and Light Show’ which tells the history of the Pyramids in ancient times.

Day 2: Pyramids and Cairo Tours

After breakfast, you will be met in reception at the Hotel by your expert Tour Guide who will accompany you to your first your first tour of the day to the famous Pyramids in the area. You will begin with the famous Giza Plateau to visit one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - the Great Pyramid of Khufu (called Cheops by the Ancient Greeks). Also on the plateau are the Pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and the smallest Pyramid Menkaure (Mykerinos). The plateau is as famous for the mysterious structure 'the Sphinx' as it is for the Pyramids, where you will visit the Valley Temple. (Lunch is included through the day). Then you will visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum in Cairo that was built in neo-classical style and designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon.The museum's vast collection of over 120,000 artifacts ranges from pre-dynastic era, through the Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period of Egypt. Amongst the most famous items which you may see are the funerary treasures of the child King Tutankhamun, the colossal statues of the heretic king, Akhenaten, and the only surviving image of Khufu, creator of Egypt's Great Pyramid. Visiting the museum is a great introduction to learning about the ancient Egyptian civilization.You will continue your Cairo Tours in the district of Old Cairo, a very old district and centrepiece of Egyptian history due to it’s ancient Mosques and christian Churches.Your tour will begin the famous Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, a major Souk in the Islamic district of Cairo, the bazaar district is one of Cairo's main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike with an opportunity to buy some hand crafted souvenirs and gifts. Back to the Hotel for overnight stay in Cairo finishing your second day of Cairo and Luxor Tour.

Day 3: Fly Cairo to Luxor - Luxor Sightseeing

An early breakfast, then you will be transferred to Cairo Airport (Domestic Terminal), for your flight to Luxor ( approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a Memphis Tours Representative, then introduced to your Tour Guide who will escort you on a tour of the East bank of Luxor. Here you will visit Karnak Temple, a fascinating Temple and the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name Ipet-isut means ‘The Most Sacred of Places’. The Temple or more correctly, the complex of Temples, was built over more than two thousand years ago by generation after generation of Pharaohs. Within the complex, the great ‘Hypostyle Hall’ is an incredible forest of giant pillars. (Lunch included in a quality restaurant). Next on to nearby Luxor Temple (the two Temples were once linked by the ‘Avenue of Sphinx’ which is currently being reconstructed).Then continue your Cairo Luxor Tour with a to visit the majestic Luxor Temple which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for ritual and festivals and dedicated to the God Amun. After the tour, you will taken to your Hotel for an overnight stay in Luxor. There is an optional tour of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple which tells the story of the two Temples of Luxor. Or free time to explore Luxor City and it’s market.

Day 4: Luxor Tours - Fly To Cairo

Continue your Cairo Luxor Tour by breakfast, then you will check out of the Hotel, then with your Guide start your exploration of the West Bank in Luxor, most famous for it’s archeological digs where the boy King Tutankhamun and 62 other Pharaohs were discovered and known as the Valley of the Kings.These Tombs were carved deep into the desert rock,richly decorated and filled with treasures from the afterlife of the Pharaohs and include a visit 3 Tombs.You will also visit the two enormous and impressive Colossi of Memnon the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III. A visit to Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary is included. This impressive Temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut the only female Pharaoh, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian Government as to preserve them from the large flow of visitors, therefore are rotated throughout the year and cannot be confirmed as to which tombs prior to your visit). After your tours, you will be transferred back to Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo then transferred to your Hotel. Free leisure time in Cairo and overnight.

Day 5: Cairo - Fly Back Home

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.

Per Person in Sterling Per Tour and can be paid in US$ or Euros by credit card via a secure payment system with no extra surcharge. Current prices are valid until September 30, 2024. excluding Easter and Christmas Holidays.

Up to 2 years: FREE

Age from 2 and below 6 years: 25% of adult price

Age from 6 up to 11 years: 50% of adult price

Ages 12 and Up: adult price.

Children's policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents. If your tour package includes airfare then extra charges for your children may apply.

 

  • Payment:

Early Reservations are advised to avoid disappointment in securing your spaces. Booking is secured upon receipt of a 25% deposit. During the Christmas holidays, packages require a deposit of 50%. forming part of your final payment. Packages and vacations which include International flights will require the full flight cost and deposit (25% or 50%) due to the regulations of the Airlines that require full payment

 

  • Transportation:

Transport for all tours included: domestic flights, trains, and air-conditioned vehicles by road. Wi-Fi, Bottled water and an ice box are all included whilst travelling by road. All are new vehicles with the latest design and technology.

 

  • Tour Guides:
