Shore Excursions to Petra and Wadi Rum

Your Memphis Tours Representative will pick you up from Aqaba Port by the cruise exit door. After this you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle approximately 1.5 hours to the Red Rose Rock City Petra, a must-see in the Middle East. Upon arrival at the Visitor's Centre starting with your guide on horseback or on foot to the Siq, a narrow gorge, and continue on to the beautiful Treasury. From here walk to the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs. Lunch will be served at a good quality local restaurant , then you will be driven 1.5 hrs to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. The area was made famous in the west by Lawrence of Arabia who described it as ‘vast,echoing and God-like’. Discover the area featuring rugged mountains and coloured sand dunes during a 4x4 Jeep tour, enjoying  canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions. Then finally continue 40 minutes onwards to your cruise ship in Aqaba Port.
